Eight Productivity Quotes With Meanings

Today in this blog post I'm going to share  some wonderful  productivity quotes.

Yes friends ,quotes are just one or two lines that impress us immediately because they are time tested life mantras.

So here I present 8 quotes on productivity along with their meanings.

1. Focus on being productive instead of busy :

Being productive and being busy aren't  the same . One can be productive but not busy. Similarly, One can be busy but not productive.

Let me explain this with an example.

A student may spend few hours studying and cover more topics or subjects ; another student may put more hours in studying and yet cover few topics.

So 'it is not about how many hours you put into study but how much study you put into those hours'.

2. Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most:

Being productive inevitably requires you to be disciplined.

And discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most.

When you choose what you want most, you will always be disciplined.

Because then only you will make the best use of your time.

3. Until you can manage time, you can manage nothing else:

You can be productive even when you have shortage of time.

Everything depends on time management.

When you manage time well, you do find time for everything that is important to you.

On the contrary, if you have issues with managing time, everything else becomes much more difficult to manage.

4. The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing:

You may read a lot about productivity and you may know a lot about productivity and you may talk a lot about your productivity goals.

But those goals will not translate into reality if you don't start working towards achieving them.

So the first step towards productivity is to quit talking and begin doing.

5. Good things happen when you set your priorities straight:

When you are productive ,it also gives you a sense of fulfilment.

It is a very nice feeling!

But in order to be productive, you must set your priorities straight.

Because only when you set your priorities, you can eliminate the less important things and manage your time smartly.

And when you are able to do this,  good things will happen to you.

6. Nothing is less productive than to make more efficient what should not be done at all:

This can be explained with a simple example.

Suppose, you are to take a test.

When you looked at the previous years' question papers you saw that no questions were ever asked from certain portions of the syllabus.

Now while preparing for the test, if you spend a chunk of your time studying from those portions, it would be a sheer waste of your time.

You should give most of your time to studying topics that carry more weightage.

A short reminder : productivity also means doing things worth doing.

7. Both good and bad days should end with productivity:

Your mood affairs should never influence your work.

As productivity requires you to be disciplined, your mood should not be able to come in the way of your productivity goals.

We all have our good days and bad days, but we should stick to our productivity schedule to realise long-term goals of our life.

8. Improved productivity means less human sweat ,not more:

You know what -  Less is more.

Productivity at its core means how efficiently one can function in a certain amount of time.

When one starts functioning more effectively in lesser amount of time, this clearly indicates that he is becoming more productive.

That's why improved productivity means less human sweat, not more.

So these were the eight productivity quotes that I find very impressive. Which one of these quotes did  impress you the most?  Do let us know in the comment section below 😊
